In this work the performance of various hybrid optical amplifiers in highcapacity optical communicationsystems is evaluated By combining the benefits of multiple types of amplifiers such as ErbiumDoped Fiber AmplifiersEDFA Raman and Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers enhance the quality of signals and extend the transmissiondistance We consider significant performance parameters such as gain noise figure and bit error rate with respectto different HOA configurations in a 300 Gbps WDM system Simulation data suggests that certain hybridcombinations even outperform the conventional singleamplifier arrangements These findings can be used to showhow HOA can tune nextgeneration optical networks to support high speed and longdistance data transmission
